How About Some Fun Winter Workshops?
And the reason why I am two months behind on sending out the newsletter!
I promised I would return to my blog after the golf season (which ended in October). But something came up that I had not expected when I signed off in April and promised to be back writing in the fall. Technically, I did write.
Between August and December, I wrote a couple of new books—they are self-journey workbooks under the label Vibeology. AND I just received the opportunity to teach these classes at IN-PERSON workshops locally! So shout out to all my readers in and around the LOU who are into metaphysical subjects, as these classes may be right up your alley! And, it’s something to do this winter besides binging Netflix.
What the heck is Vibeology? It’s a blend of ancient wisdom, like feng shui and numerology. In late summer and early fall, I taught snippets of this information at the Chakra Healing Room in Wentzville, MO. But I’m taking it up an notch and teaching a more cohesive approach to these metaphysical subjects, thanks to Leslie and Stacie, co-owners of The Chakra Healing Room where I will be instructing. So here is a little info on the the upcoming courses for your consideration.
January Workshop
Starts January 4th! Sign-up deadline DECEMBER 31, 2024.
I have been a feng shui practitioner for 24 years (that’s longer than I have been golfing)! After formally training in the traditional teachings of feng shui, I spent my spare time analyzing homes and small commercial spaces. But now that I’m retired, I have a lot more flexibility to teach others how to apply the techniques to their own spaces, whether it’s a room, apartment, house, or office.
In January, I’ll be teaching a four-part series, called Feng Shui Foundations for Balanced Living course. My mission is to teach you how to apply traditional principles to harmonize yourself with your space. If you walk out with a good understanding of what to look for, how to apply it, and a copy of your own floor plan, then it’s a successful workshop! We’ll touch on best personal directions you can use for things like sleep, meditation, business. You’ll learn if you are compatible with your home, and if not, how to still have good feng shui! We’re going to create a floor plan, figure out the energy blueprint that was captured during the construction period and see if there is anything that might be causing issues in relationships, etc. I cover more than what’s in my new book, Vibeology: Five Feng Shui Practices to Sync Your Energy with Your Space.
If you can’t make the class, but interested in the subject, this new workbook teaches readers how to apply basic and some intermediate methods, without doing a deep-dive into the philosophy. (I tried to get directly to the methods without all the master chit chat.) However, in the classroom environment there is an opportunity to provide more information and instant feedback as you work your way through the exercises.
On average, I charge around $400 for a comprehensive feng shui reading because it usually involves client interviews, property research, graphic design, an on-site walk through, etc. to create a client’s custom analysis and implementation plan. However, the course is just $222, which covers 8 hours of in-person instruction, workbook and additional class materials.
This class is every Saturday 10 AM to Noon. You’ll receive the workbook, Vibeology: Five Feng Shui Practices to Sync Your Energy with Your Space, so don’t buy the book on Amazon ($14.99) if you plan on coming to the class as it is already included in the course price.
If you can’t make January’s session or not interested in feng shui, perhaps you might want to join me for the Vibeology class in February where we’ll switch gears and focus on the numbers behind YOUR birth chart and more!
February Workshop
Starts February 1st! Sign-up deadline January 24, 2024.
About 15 years ago, I was introduced to Pythagorean numerology. I recognized the similarities between some of the advanced feng shui methods and what’s taught in numerology, even though they stemmed from different cultures and points in history. For many ancient cultures, numbers were the key to understanding the universe. I began learning numerology methods independently, researching various practices and applying these methods to birth charts for friends and family.
In this workshop, you’ll explore your life’s journey through numbers, colors, and shapes, tapping into a variety of ancient wisdoms and exclusive Vibeology methods. The idea behind the workbook is to encourage people to view themselves from a different perspective—through the ancient wisdom of numbers, while learning to take the time for self-introspection. In the classroom setting, it’s an opportunity to also learn how to go within. Some of the exercises taught are also good for cognitive memory! Aside from the traditional view of your birth chart, we’ll use exclusive Vibeology exercises that include art, meditation, and journaling to help you understand how these numbers influence your life.
I do numerology readings and parties, but the size and scope are limited because it can be personally exhausting to do more than five 30 minute readings in a row! In this class, you are learning to read numbers so you can interpret your own chart, but I’ll be there to guide you in the process. This course also includes the newest release, Vibeology: Mapping Your Life’s Journey Through the Ancient Wisdom of Numbers (Available Jan. 6-$22) and is a full-color workbook and journal.
The February class, Numerology: Insights for Inner Discovery is Saturday 1 PM to 3 PM. You’ll receive the workbook Vibeology: Mapping Your Life’s Journey Through the Ancient Wisdom of Numbers. If you plan on coming to the class, don’t purchase the new book on Amazon because it’s included in the course price. The class is $233 for 8 hours and includes the workbook and other materials.
Class Locations / Max and Min Capacities
Both January and February classes are head at the The Chakra Healing Room (950 Corporate PKWY, Wentzville, MO 63385). Both classes have a max capacity of 10 people. I will teach the classes as long as I have at least two participants. Both of these classes strictly focused on your personal feng shui plan or personal numerology journey.
If you have questions about the classes reach out to me!
A quick note…my newsletter name has changed to The Curious Archivist to reflect the potpourri of stories I typically write and share. It will be a monthly newsletter, but I may sneak in an extra edition if something new happens that you might be interested in—like someone finding that darn Picasso painting that disappeared from the Saint Louis Art Museum in 1973. The Good Vibrations section is still there, and this is where you will find stories connected with the Vibeology workshops and books.
