Some of you may have received this note because we crossed paths professionally during my time in the corporate world. What happened to that sarcastic marketing executive who left her career to become an author? In the past five years, from the time I decided I wanted to be a writer to actually doing something about it, I have been on a path of self-discovery. For instance, writing brings great satisfaction when I can entertain or educate. Also, my marketing experience produced skills that were critical to writing and publishing Chasing Picasso: The True Story of a Daytime Heist on Art Hill. But the one thing I avoided my entire life became a necessary function of book marketing and turned into my nemesis in post-launch.
